I have a Toshiba Satellite C650 PSC12C-00M00S.
I re-installed Windows 7 and I went to the Toshiba site for my drivers. I downloaded one after the other. All the downloads and installation went well. Unknowingly I downloaded the BIOS Update. As I clicked it, started to Update the BIOS. After it had finished my computer shut down. I turn it back on. Everything is fine until the 'Starting Windows'. As the Windows logo is forming, each time I rebooted it, it crashed and showed the BSOD.
I was wondering if I could get the v1.20 BIOS for this laptop.
Or get other help.
Thanks

Sry that im posting so late o_o
1. What BIOS did you flash?
2. Manufacturor of the BIOS ( InsydeH20)???
3. Did you try to set HDD mode to AHCI or to Compatible = IDE ?
4. Have you tried to recover the original installation ( TOSHIBA Backup media; you had to create a disc)?
5. Have you the possibility to give the laptop to repair ( for free?) ?
6. Did you try to recover the old BIOS?
HOW TO RECOVER A InsydeH20 BIOS This may work on your laptop. But you will have to do research and try out combinations like Win + Fn or Fn + B and so on. -

I would keep tapping the F8 key just as Windows is about to load until I get the option to go into Safe Mode. See if that will boot without the BSOD.
If not, then I would, as already suggested, try the different HDD interface mode options. If the new BIOS has changed the setting from that used when Windows was installed then it will often cause a BSOD. AHCI is the normal setting.

I have found in the past that once the BIOS gets updated it resets to a default state. I would try what the others have said. Change from AHCI to compatibility or boot Windows into safe mode.

I will try that

@alxlbf2
1. 1.90
2. It is Insyde H20
3. Not yet
4. I do not have recovery media with me
5. My computer is under warranty. Previously my laptop had Hard Drive issue so that was replaced
6. I cannot find out how to recover the old BIOS. I went to Toshiba's site but the recent version was only available -
I switched AHCI to Compatibility and it now boots fine
Thanks for the help -
You are welcome
