I am always wondering if the battery is being charged when the battery is 100% charged and the power is plugged in. I don't want the battery to be over charged, so i just unplug the power when it is fully charged. However, i think the laptop should be smart enough to stop the charging when it is fully charged even the power is plugged. Can someone confirm that for me? I am not sure. Thanks

The smart chip inside the laptop will stop the charging, no worries here. But it's always recommended to keep the battery away from heat so if the battery is going hot when the laptop is on AC, it's not a bad idea to remove it.
Make sure to read the Battery Guide. -

obviously, this depends on what model of laptop you are using.

My laptop is A135-S2386. Would that make a difference?

yeah you should be fine. any modern laptop will have that feature embedded in the chip as mujtaba said. i was just worried that you had an older laptop where that feature might not exist.
