Hi I have a Toshiba A105-S2024 that i have had since June 06. Last night my laptop shut off on me and it will not turn back on. I am guessing it is my battery, considering it is over 2 years old. The AC outlet light does not light up, and when I hold down the power button the battery light flashes and the AC adapter makes a clicking sound. I have also been having some problems with the AC cord recently so I am not sure if that is the problem.
Anyways, I know this is not a dedicated support forums, but I hope somebody can help me out before i go out and spend over 100 bucks on a battery. Thanks in advance

Im thinking that your adapter is bad, if the power light does not light up, it might be bad.
Try taking out the battery and try to power on the laptop using the adapter.
Your battery light may be flashing because the battery is out and it could not charge itself because of the faulty adapter.

I am pretty sure my laptop was never able to run on the ac adapter alone without the battery. Also, I was running the laptop through the AC adapter (with battery in of course) when it went out/ died. Im guessing its just the battery because lately I have been getting times of about 20 minutes when I am unplugged.
