Not sure if this is the proper place to get this addressed but after not getting very far in finding insights on the Toshiba site and an increasing frustration level... I came across this forum and request your guidance. I just purchased a M645-S4070 laptop. On the whole I'm fairly pleased so far but the battery life is KILLING me. It came with a "Li-Ion (48Wh, 6-Cell)" with claims of 5.03 hrs worth of juice yet by ONLY surfing the internet (not other apps running), I am lucky to get just over 2 hrs. I have dropped my ECO usage settings to minimums and turned off my optical drive, yet it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. Is there some other settings that I can make to actually achieve close to the claim 5hrs of juice?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    THANK YOU!

I found this on the Toshibadirect site:

    Toshiba Satellite® M645-S4070 14.0" widescreen Laptop

You will probably have to tinker with the power-settings located in the control-panel.

I just got my Qosmio, they claim 3.5 hours battery, i usually get around 2.25 hours.

Good luck and keep us updated with any progress you find out.
