Bios Issues

Help!!! Laptop L305 S5875 boots fine, but when i press F2 to go into bios its all i get is a flashing cursor and no bios screen, tried updating bios with no different results....also tried resetting bios back to defaults not sure if iam doing this correctly do to the battery is intergrated on MB
..

 

169 views no replies, iam i the only one? i guess i need the best of the best to resolve this issue.....I love a challange.

I hope your fix isn't this extensive...but if your bios is corrupt, this video may help:

EDIT: Since your laptop will boot to Windows...this more than likely does not apply to you. For whatever reason, when I first read your description, it didn't register with my brain that your laptop will actually boot.

Check under your ram, there might be a small pad you can short out to reset the CMOS.

Or a zig-zag type pad.

 

Finally got a chance to perform this, and sorry to say my issues is still there...thanks to all who has replied

 

have you tried ESC button? my tosh needs an ESC press proir to F whatever (i thought it was F1, but can't remember off the top of my head)
