This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Bluetooth fiasco

    R600-S4201 - One Kilogram, but solid as Gibraltar
    Yamaha Bluetooth speakers.

    I can get system sounds, but no entertainment audio. I've installed the K-Tel Codec Pac (full), and the Tweak Tool. Still no luck.

    Periodically I will get an alert box saying something like

    AV Automatic Connection
    Connection failed
    etc.

    No fiddling with the Device Manager or Audio controls seems to make a difference.

    I've downloaded the entire Bluetooth kit specified for this model, but it will not install.

    Surely there's something simple ... but what?
