    Hi,

I just received my laptop yesterday. I was installing CUDA 5.5 SDK and in the middle of installation process I received an error message (Win 8.1's BSOD) then an automatic restart happened and now all I see is a blank screen... the trouble is I can't shutdown by pressing the power button, every time I press and hold the power button laptop goes to sleep mode. Note that I can't pull the battery out since the battery is not accessible on this laptop (seriously, why did you do this Toshiba?!).

Anyone knows how to force shutdown/restart the laptop?

    Thanks in advance

I'm assuming you solved this already, but tou should be able to hold it for a few seconds until it shuts down, or let the battery run out and let it turn itself off.
