This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Bringing Toshiba A30 hard-drive back to life?

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A30.

    I think the hard-drive is not working.

    I think the Hard drive slot has 2 wires coming out, and I am not sure where to put this.

    I think this is the reason the CPU cannot read the Hard-drive.

    I am able to boot to Windows 7 USB disk for installing the OS, but it cannot find any hard drive.
