So, I've had my Toshiba Satellite for almost 2 years now. It's a good, reliable computer, however latley i've been noticing clusters of small black/brown spots on the screen. They kind of look like dirt on the screen, but you can't wipe them off. They're clustered in the center left of the screen and some new ones have appeared in the top left corner. What is this? Does this indicate that there is something wrong with the pixles and they're burning out?
How can I fix this problem?

how do i do a screenshot?

nevermind. I took a screen shot against a white background (the spots are most visible against a white background) and they do not show up in the image. They're just present on my screen. The are stationary spots, they don't move with dragging windows around the screen, and as i mentioned, they just look like dirt you can't remove.

Take a picture with a camera of your LCD screen in action. Taking a screenshot captured directly from the GPU will not show us the problem, obviously.

Dead pixels likely. Try using the program Dead Pixel Buddy. It "massages" the pixels haha. I've never had an issue, so never used it, but it has some good reviews. And is free.
