This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Built-In Camera won't pick up audio! (computer details inside)

    Toshiba Satellite A204-S4577.

    Windows Vista.

    1.3M Built-In Camera.

    My Camera Assistant tells me that my audio is "locked by another application". There is no other program on my computer that I know of that uses the microphone or audio recording! When I first got the laptop a year ago it worked, but now it does not.

    This has also resulted in videos without sound and generally bad video recordings, and sometimes the video is also locked by another application the same way.

    Please help me! Thanks
