i have a qosmio x300 and got it last year. the temps never went over 70c doing anything.

in the past week, i was playing borderlands and the laptop shut down and i had no idea why. i then checked and the temps were around 100c, and it had to have gotten over 110 because it shut down.

so im going to disassemble it following a guide. ive never done this before so does anyone have any tips? should i put some more thermal paste on the cpu?

    thanks.

+ do i need and esd wrist strap?
