Well, I had the good fortune of purchasing a P4 2.5Ghz-m cpu (at a good price!), and naturally, the first thing I did was put it in my trusty Toshiba Satellite A10 (2.2GHz Celeron). It worked (surprisingly) but it turned out it was made to run at 533MHz FSB instead of the 400MHz the A10 runs at... This made the cpu run at 1.9Ghz... While I suspect it may well be impossible, does anyone know of a way to adjust the FSB to make the machine run the cpu to its full speed? or should i hope for more luck and try and find one with a 400MHz FSB instead?

The only way I could imgaine getting aroud that is with a p4 M model M10 bois, but you need to make sure the chio set supports that speed first. I'd say it's pretty risky too.
