    I want to buy the A65-S1068 and then add 512mb of ram to it. (so I will have 765mb of ram) I found some cheap notebook 512mb ram at Fry's. Now after I added the ram can I let the video card share more ram? The default is 64mb, can I set it to 128mb? Is this possible? Thanks.

    Not really. Well it depends what type of integrated video card it is example (ATI radeon 7500, 9000, etc.) some integrated cards only allow for a maximum of 64MB VRAM. What is the graphics chip? And if it is an Intel Extreme graphics; there is no way for that because like I said before the graphic controller it's self only allows for 64MB VRAM.

    Windows - The operating system that runs the world.

    Toshiba - Quality, price, and features!

    The graphics card is ATi Mobility Radeon 7000.

    ATI MOBILITY?RADEON?7000 IGP
    http://www.ati.com/products/mobilityradeon7000igp/features.html

    Memory Interface
    * Unified Memory Architecture (UMA)
    * 64-bit system DDR SDRAM memory interface
    * Synchronous and asynchronous memory to processor bus clock ratios
    * DDR333 SDRAM support provides up to 2.7 GB/second bandwidth
    * Up to 4 GB DRAM support with two unbuffered SO-DIMMs
    * 64 Mbit to 1 Gbit memory device densities
    * 16 MB to 128 MB of main memory configurable as display memory
    * Optimal memory power management via 4 DDR SDRAM clock enable signals

    So the graphics card itself should allow for up to 128mb of ram, but I've heard that Toshiba locked the bios so I can't change the shared ram. Is there any mods to the bios that I can do to change that? Is there anyway to change it other than going into the bios, like a third party program? Thanks for the reply.

    I don't think there's any "tweaked" bioses available. I wouldn't want to run a BIOS that wasn't modified by the manufacturer, could cause problems for your system. Try checking with Toshiba and see if they have a "patch" for this issue.
