Hi, I just bought a satellite m105-3004 and I'm having trouble with the dvd-ram disc drive, it is a UJ-841S and was working fine for a while but now it's gone from "My computer" but I can still open the tray and the light still flashes and such, but it does not play cds or anything, in the device manager it has a exclamation and says it was able to load the drivers but not connect to the hardware, but now it says something different it says windows cannot start this hardware device because it's configuration informartion (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged (code 19). can someone please help me thank you.

You should confirm that it is listed in your BIOS. If it is not listed there, then it is certainly a hardware problem of some kind.

If it is listed in your BIOS, then go to device manager and uninstall it. Then reboot.

When you reboot, it should find new hardare and install a driver.

If any of this fails to work, then you probably have a hardware problem. Since your machine is new, don't go changing firmware or removing the drive. Just take it back and get it fixed.
