Hi I own a P305D-S8995E that has a Atheros AR5007EG wireless card installed and I have the latest driver installed and running xp home. This card seems to continually drop the wi-fi signal, I also own a A215-S7462 that has a Realtec wireless card installed and it doesn't drop the signal unless the network goes down. So I was wondering if this card (Atheros) can be replaced with a different brand and if so where can I purchase the new card from?
    Thanx!!

Its a mini PCI Express card so it can be replaced. You can search on line but this will work. I would first look at the power settings AND drivers before embarking on this quest. I 've had several Atheros cards including two with my current computers and never had an issue with them. :)
