    Within windows try:

Start Button --> My Computer (right click)---> Properties Tab ---->General/System Info

Might say exact model number there.

    Keep us updated

Use the MS DOS command serial number. To get to the MS Dos command do the following:

    Click start

Type cmd.exe in the search box. Press enter.

MS Dos box will appear. To retrieve serial number of the computer run the following command

"wmic bios get serialnumber" (Just cut and paste without the quotes" ")

To retrieve model name of the computer run the following command

'wmic csproduct ' (Just cut and paste without the quotes" ")

***serialnumber is supposed to be one word, if you separate them it won't work.

    Good Luck
