    Can't identify beep code

    Hi all,

    My Toshiba Tecra S2 does not boot, only a beep code. as I heard it many times, it has Low1- 3- 4- 3 beeps.
    Please help me to find the problem in my laptop.

    Can you get into the setup screen? (press F10 / F12 or similar) If so, find the page with information of your harddisk. If no harddisk is listed, probably your disk is not recognized. Might be a dead disk.

    Next check memory size, does it match with what should be there?

    If you can't get into the setup screen at all, check your laptop memory. If possible take out half the memory and try again. Replace the other half and try again. If it boots in either case, it's memory gone sour.

    I can't get into the setup screen, have to check with a RAM. I have only one module.
