Tried the recovery as Toshiba suggested, that did not work and now I am trying to reload the OS from CD, it loads the files, goes to a light green colored screen then nothing happens, help?

What model Toshiba is it? It may possibly be a faulty HDD. Have you had any problems before hand?

Ah huh. A virus? Would you have any idea what type, as they can be really nasty and sometimes can mess around with your hardware. Have you formatted your drive? If not I recommend that, as the virus could still be on your computer and stopping you from restoring the OS.

Try to format your HDD with an external case/cable or whatever you want to name it.
