I have an older Satellite 2775 XDVD laptop. I upgraded to XP and am trying to add a 128 stick of memory. Every time I add the stick ( I have tried 3 ) I get an error message stating that " the following file is missing or corrupt system32\drivers\pci.sys "
If I remove the stick it boots without a problem.
PLEASE HELP
-
then the memory stick you are trying to add is faulty or the laptop just doesnt work well with it (incompatible) cuz the system is reporting an error when its in and nothing when its not

I have tried 3 different sticks of memory. I got the specs from the Toshiba website. I think it has something to do with upgrading to XP ??
-
It might even be a bad memory slot. I had a similar problem with an old tecra.

yeah cud be the slot is damaged. maybe u need a clean install of windows too
Cant add memory
