    Hi,

I have an A135 with a charging issue. The machine will not charge. The A/C is connected but the battery meter shows it is plugged in but not charging and the battery will not go over 26%. Also, the battery LED is dark while the A/C adapter LED is lit.

I replaced the motherboard and had the same issue. I assumed it was a DOA board so I replaced it again along with the D/C jack. I still have the same issue.

I have tested the A/C adapter and it checks out good. Could this be an issue with the battery? Any information will be appreciated.

It is a Satellite A135-S4666 running Vista home basic. Thanks again.

    George D.

how long have u had this machine.....as u may know Li ion batteries continue to degrade over time and decrease in performance....just google laptop battery wear and u will get enough details........but usually even after wearing the machines will show fully charged......to worn down capacity (it shows 100% but this limit will be lesser than for a same fresh battery)......and u havent mentioned anything abt the battery life......if ur battery life hasnt dimnished it may be a trouble with calibrating the battery......try googling battery calibration....
