I did this on my gf's computer. she has an x305 everything works fine didn't need to find any drivers or anything for it. Hdmi works everything. If you do need drivers you can always go to toshiba.com and download their drivers as they will run on windows 7 also.

But from what i can tell everything worked no need to find drivers or download them. Good luck

Windows 7 is Vista based, the drivers should all be native to the OS, so you should have no problems at all :D

Here is the Toshiba driver download page.

Just put in your laptop model and download what you're missing

    Upon the clean install

First thing to do is install the Intel Chipset Drivers (get the latest ones not the ones on the Toshiba Site along with the latest Intel Rapid Storage Drivers as the ones on the site are outdated.)

After rebooting ,install the Intel Rapid Storage drivers then reboot

then install the ATI or graphics drivers then reboot

then install the sound, bluteooth, card reader, webcam, wireless , LAN drivers then reboot

Then install the Toshiba Value Added package which includes the webcam app, but choose CUSTOM install and remove the ZOOMING component as that is only for disabled people

    :D

Now install your software starting with the antivirus

three things BEFORE starting any sort of OS change...
A- do a full IMAGE backup of the existing hard drive. Don't take a forward step without knowing you can step back if need be.
B- do a separate backup of all your current drivers. I use Semper driver backup (free version).

So long as you aren't changing from 32bit to 64 bit, or vice versa, with few exceptions Vista drivers will work within Win7. Most likely you won't need them, but it may get a device running until you can come up with a native Win7 driver.

C- unless you have an alternate way to get to drivers out on the web, download as much as you can before you start your upgrade.
