    has anyone played company of heroes on their x205? every time i load a skirmish or campaign, the game closes and an error pops up. does anyone know how to fix this?? is it possibly cuz im running it in dx10?? is there a way that i can downgrade it to dx9?

    If it's like most games click windows start button, click Games and right click on the Company of heroes, should show a Dx9 Dx10 option.

    it doesnt show up on the start menu. when i right click the launch icon throught windows explorer, there isn't an option for dx9 or dx10, it just says open.

    Hmm, mine runs it fine.... what video drivers are you running? And if i recall, you can enable or disable DX10 options under the graphics options page in the menu of the game where you set texture, resolution, etc. I remember seeing DX10 rendering somewhere around there. Try that but I'd also try upgrading your video drivers, as so far mine hasn't had any issues, I'm currently running the latest Realtek Audio drivers and the laptopvideo2go 169.09's.

    i have the same exact drivers running, i have also reinstalled the game several times

    fixed it, i had to change the shader quality from direct 3d 10 to high.

    be77solo, what settings do you play on?? high or medium?

    glad ya got it working, i thought it was in the options within the game that i had seen it. I haven't spent a lot of time messing with the settings, actually just got the game off Steam when it was on sale a couple weeks ago, but currently am using a mix of highs and mediums, but I'm pretty picky about framerates... seems to run it fairly well though, seems to be better than the demo performance wise. Also have the Opposing fronts addon too though, so not sure what difference at all that might make.
