Does anyone know if it's possible to configure custom actions for buttons on the left side of the keyboard (under the power button) in Toshiba A135 in Vista? It seems that the music note in a picture frame button doesn't do anything on my A135-S2276.

Hm... I've heard that the button only works with Windows Media Player, but I haven't tried it with any other program... Check to see if WMP is your default player? It's running fine on mine right now.

[Edit] And I haven't found anything that lets you configure them yourself. Maybe there isn't any. Does anyone know?

As far as I know, it only works with Windows Media Player.

Hmm.. on my laptop with Vista and WMP as a default media player the media button still does nothing  .. Maybe I killed too many Toshiba programs from running at start. Although the other buttons (IE, track skip, FF etc) work fine.

    In Vista, did you do

Control Panel -> Default Programs -> Set Your Default Programs

    or

Control Panel -> Default Programs -> Set program access and computer defaults
    ?

Make sure you did both. This is really weird... I'm pretty sure it should work anyway... If all else fails and you really want that button, you could always use the recovery disk. ><
