What exactly is the Consumer Infrared port for on the m105 series laptops? Can I use my media center remote with this port?

You will need Windows MCE in order to use the Media Center Remote with IR port on your notebook. The IR port is also used as a low end way of transferring data from one device to another (your notebook, in this case). If you have a PDA/Smartphone, they can be connected to your notebook through IR.

I have MCE, and a remote, but how do I set it to work with it?
