    Hi,

Is there any way to control the fan's speed on my new Satellite L775 ? I'm playing games on it, and it heats a lot, but the fans are almost never at full speed. They stay at full speed for a few seconds then back at low speed. Which sucks because without that, I can't play the way I want. Especially if I clock the GT 525M at it's regular speeds (600 Mhz core instead of 475 (!) stock on the Toshiba).

In the future I'd like to change thermal pads, but I'd rather try to control my fans before opening up my laptop (does it void warranty ?).

Thanks in advance for all the answers.

No, there is no way to cantrol the notebook FAN.
If you will get a Notebook test CD with a FAN Full speed test option we could figure out how to create a fan control programm for your laptop.
But usuallly you wont get such a CD; I had luck and got one for my FSC T3010D and was able to create a fan control programm with HIGH;LOW;OFF speed options (there were .bat files on the CD)

No, there was nothing with laptop. In fact the box was pretty small and empty compared to my old laptops. There wasn't even system restore discs.

What are exactly doing those batch files ? Does it run something like an app to control fans or something else ? Maybe that I sholuld try, if it's harmless for my computer (I don't think it could be). Can you upload the batchs so I can look at them ?

EDIT: I just realized that it wasn't a toshiba laptop, so it would work. Yet i'd still like to know what are those batches doing on the computer.
