This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Crashes using SKYPE

    I have a P305-S8838 that crashes when I am using the webcam via skype. Some times I have been on the webacm for over 30 minutes before crashing other times it might be only 1 - 2 minutes, but eventually the machine freezes up and I have to remove the battery to power back up. Otherwise the machine works great.

    Anybody have any similar problems using the webcam or skype? I still have time to return the machine if it is a problem with this particular unit. Thanks in advance.
