I have a Toshiba L-30 10X. It came with Vista home basic. It was to slow, but did well. After I installed XP SP2, it didn't want to burn DVD+ . Any suggestions?
    It has a Mat****a UJ-850S ODD.

    OK. Nero should work.

Does the burner show in Device Manager and can you read discs?

I would upgrade XP to SP3 before exploring too many other fixes.
