I got a DVD-RW R6372 to install in my Toshiba A45-S250 but i cant do it works. It seens that the BIOS dont recognize it how if there wasnt any drive in the notebook.

Anyone know what's the problem ?? Do I need to flash the DVD-RW firmare or the notebook BIOS ?

You may have to flash the BIOS of the notebook. The drive could be too new for it to recognize properly. You may also want to check to see fi there's a switch/jumpers on it that will allow the settings of the drive to be changed from Cable Select to Master. Also, make sure any mounting hardware/adapters that were on the original drive is removed and attached to the new drive. I know Toshiba uses interface adapters on their optical drives.
