    Hello

I deleted by accident "Sonic Record Now". I wish to create a new recovery DVD because the original one seems to be defective. Is there a way to do this without Sonic Record Now? When I click on the "Create recovery disk" icon on the desktop, it looks for that software and since it can't find it, it doesn't do anything.

Toshiba says that they'll replace my DVD disk but this could take weeks.

    Thanks for any help.

Some of these burners come with OEM Sonic Record. How about installing it and then trying? Pretty stupid of Toshiba to force users to use Sonic to burn recovery disks. I did just the same last time with my A105-S1013 and then I could not burn the Express Media Player recovery disk. The laptop turned out to be defective so, when I exchanged it, I burnt the disk first thing.

    Thanks for your reply.

How do I install the OEM Sonic Record?

    Thanks again.

You should be able to use Win-DVD creator also, it comes with that burning software too.

I was able to create the recovery CD for Express Media Player.

To do this, I used the Windows XP system restore feature to revert back to a version from before I deleted Sonic Record Now. Then I clicked on the icon on the desktop and was able to create the CD.

Now, my question... what is the point? Why would I need this CD?

I wanted a copy of the Product Recovery DVD-ROM. I guess there is no way to create a copy of this...
