    Hi everyone,

What is the difference between the Toshiba Satellite A500 and A505 Model laptops?

For example, there is the A505-S6040 and then there is the A500-ST6647 that can be customized to the exact same specs. Is there any difference between these 2 laptops such as a different body style or design?

    Thanks

Actually I don't believe that's altogether true. The A500 is only available outside the US, and the A505 is only available inside the US.

You are probably correct, but the above sentence is true also.

They do have the exact same body style, but some features are different too. Eg. The A305 never came with a Biometric Fingerprint Scanner, but a lot of the A300's did.

That doesn't make sense. Earlier this week I ordered a Satellite A500-ST6647 from the Toshiba USA site.

Really? That's strange, because AFAIK, the A300 was only ever available outside the US, and the A305 was only ever available inside the US...

Alright, disregard my first post, appears I was wrong.
