Hey all, the battery on my Toshiba A300 has gone belly-up, and I'm looking for a cheap but sound replacement, if possible.

I searched around eBay and found the battery I was looking for (PA3534U-1BRS), but noticed one key difference: The mAh listed is 4,400, up from the 4,000 I use(d) on my current battery.

How big a risk, if at all, would it be to buy one of these for my computer? Although the batteries are identical in SKU, my laptop model isn't explicitly listed in the "fit models" section of the item description.

Any input would be great. Thanks!

I don't believe there is any risk. The extra capacity will simply mean the battery takes longer to charge and discharge.

So there's no real threat of overheating and making my PC go ka-boom?

No. There is a very slight possibility the laptop won't recognise the full capacity properly. If it doesn't, check for an updated BIOS.
