    Hi
I need help figuring out where the cmos battery of this laptop is, and how to disassemble the laptop. So far after a million scratches , all that I have managed to do is removed all the screws from the bottom part of the laptop.
Should I just yank of the bottom part using force? With the help of a pen torch I can see there are lots of connectors and stuff connecting the two parts of the laptop, so it doesn't seem like a very good idea..

    Any help?

and any ideas how would it look like. blue disc?
I just want to reach the cmos battery so I can shot it or unsolder it, because of the 'spontaneous bios password' problem.

    Thanks

    Disassembly guide

Note remember to remove the VGA screws in the side of laptop before trying to remove mobo.

    Goodluck on the CMOS battery.

I had seen that guide, but it is of a different model. Will most things be similar?

I went ahead and read the whole guide, and have maanged to remove the keyboard :). Now there are just too many screws and connecting wires(with scratches) and tapes below the keyboard. If only I can know where the CMOS battery is and how will it look like, I will be soo thankful.

Progress - below the keyboard there were two screws, removing which I could lift the the upper part a lil more and now I am pretty sure where and which the battery is :D. (it's a lil blue disc in the front-middle-center part of the laptop.
I haven't seperated the 2 parts of the laptop, coz the upper (keyboard area) is still connected to the mobo with varios cables and connectors. So I can just reach the CMOS battery with the screw-driver.

Q1. Will the laptop still fuction if I was to remove the bios battery permanently?
Q2. IS there an alternative to unsoldering the battery. I can touch both the negative and +ve parts with a screw-driver.

    Thanks
