When I have checked how much space left do I have, it appears to show me less than I really do have. When I click o C: and go to properties it shows me that I've used aprox 65Gb but actually I checked and I only found around 30Gb used and I don't know where the others 35Gb are. I though it was the Toshiba System Volume, but that its a different partition. So if anyone can give me any clue I'd appreciate it.
Thanks

probably windows system restore points taking up the space?
Btw, is it XP or Vista??
try disk cleanup > more options > delete all but the most recent restore point... -
I agree, likely system restore. It is often set to take 20% or more of your disc space. Go into the settings, and set it to around 1gig in most cases.
If that isn't it, a visual file system analyzer like WinDirStat can SHOW you what types of files are taking up space, and where they are on your drive.

WinDirStat is a good idea.
And pressing PF7 on the screen above will actually show the space used by system restore as 'unknown'. -
Actually I ran The Disk Cleanup and deleted Restore Points, right before I posted this thread. I'll check out the program suggested. Thanks.
I am running on Vista (64 bits), my toshiba is Satellite M305D-S4830.
I changed the space provided for system restore to 1GB, and I found out that the extra space I didn't found was actually that one. Now I have a normal space used. But I have another question... is it ok to have 1GB for restore, or should I have some more space dedicated for this matter?
Thanks -
I've personally only used system restore ONE Ever, so I set it as low as possible without actually shutting it down (primary drive only). Mine is currently set to 1%, or around 1.9gig (lowest XP will let me right now), and I have over 30 restore points. I can't possibly see why I would need any more, as this is around 2 weeks worth of restores
Disk space used
