Do NOT buy Toshiba R25 at Amazon

Hi ,

This is part rant part useful info aimed at anyone interested to buy it , had i known it earlier I'd be much happier today .

More then 2 weeks ago I ordered the Satellite R25-s3035 at Amazon thinking I'd get it sooner then anywhere else .

But then I was surpised to get a shipping date confirmation for September , contacted CS and was promised in writing that they will ship it July 17th .

A week later and nothing has changed , while every other retailer has it in stock and is shipping them .

Now for the good part :

Amazon still insist on claiming its "not released yet" even though they are selling it already by 3rd party sellers like Compusa at the very same page .
Their customer service keeps repeating this mantra no matter what .

They also advice me I can cancel my order anytime , yeah , right now after I missed the deals and rebates offered , thanks alot .

This is the last time I ever trust Amazon , I hope this will serve as a warning for others so they will be able to find other retailers .

 

I've never had trouble like this and I buy left and right from them, largely due to the Amazon Prime deal. They obviously messed this one up big time though. I'd bet there's a stack of these in a warehouse somewhere categorized as blenders. Sorry for your troubles...

 

Yep , I got the prime specialy for this item , Great 2 days shipping with 2 weeks waiting .

I'm not saying don't buy there ( I'm too a loyal customer thats why I oredered it ) but just not this item .

By the way what you said is exactly what I think , I keep telling them it
give me a straight answer like "we haven't recived any stock" , "its out of stock" or even "we can't find our stock" ...

But don't tell me its not released yet because it is ... right here before my eyes in your own product page .

Its like talking to rocks , really dumb rocks .
