I recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite U845w-S410 for the purpose of using it as a Djaying/Music production rig. I'm having trouble getting the Dj hardware to run properly with the Toshiba and I therefore am left with a couple of questions.

The background ( and purpose for choosing this ultrabook ) is that I am short in height - many times in a professional DJ booth if my laptop is directly in front of me, I can't see the crowd and they can't see me. I figured that - #1 a laptop with a low profile would solve this problem and - #2 a lightweight Ultrabook would be a breeze to travel with ( whether it be long flights or even long subway rides )

So here are my questions. As far as I can tell, the hardware compatibility issue I'm having with my machine has to do with the USB 3.0 - My Dj hardware ( specifically, my external soundcard ) aren't compatible as of yet with USB 3.0 - My hope is that an external USB Hub will fix this - But now I'm wondering if I even have enough processing power to run the software properly so...

Will an Intel® Core™ i5-3317U Processor with a clock speed of 1.7GHz and a Turbo speed of 2.6GHz have a problem running software that requires, 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (4 GB recommended) ?

With a built in 6GB of ram, will upgrading to the maximum 12GB ram help ?

If this machine is a bust, which lightweight small form factor notebook do you recommend? Which ultrabooks clock in at over 2.0GHz out of the box?

And as far of my initial impressions of this machine, I think it's pretty great - I enjoy everything about it except for the touchpad - the touchpad STINKS - also the widescreen form factor is PERFECT for a Dj/music producer, absolutely genius.

Sorry to hear that laptop does not support Traktor products. As a last attempt, you may want to try contacting Toshiba SUpport or Traktor Support to verify whether they will provide support in the future.

Good luck and keep us posted with any updates.
