    Hi,

I've got a Satellite A200-14D notebook here which comes with only 1 GB of RAM and I would like to upgrade it to 2 GB.

According to http://www.memory-express.co.uk/M--Toshiba--Satellite--A200-14D.html it has only a single 1 GB module installed by default so it should be possible to upgrade it to 2 GB by just installing one addition 1 GB module without having to remove the existing one.

However if the mainboard does support dual channel memory it would be necessary to have two matching modules to use dual channel.

Unfortunately I couldn't find anything about whether it supports dual channel or not.

So do you know if that mainboards supports it or not?

    thx

If it uses DDR2 RAM and there are two RAM slots, it probably supports dual channel
