    I found this earlier. The previous model had the 7900GS, how about this one? I really have my heart set on this, but only if it's the 7900GTX.

    Appreciate any help, and please don't tell me to call the agent in Kuwait. All I got off them was that is was NVidia "512", when I told the salesman to check if it was a gs or a gtx he said that he can't open the laptop. Pathetic!

    yes the p100 indeed have a 512mb 7900GS or GTX. in australia we only get the 7900GS version; but in the US u can get 7900GS or GTX, both with 512mb (lucky bas*****) :).

    be aware that; there is some cases where the computer tells u that u only got 256mb of video memmory, but don't worry; all toshiba p100 w/ 7900 get 512mb of vRAM, i think that there is some software reporting bug with directX or something.

    now, there is a couple of way to check for video card version;

    one of them is by using "device manager"

    click "start" -> right click "my computer" -> properties -> click on "hardware" tab -> device manager -> then look for "display adapter" -> click the "+" sign next to it and u should see the version of video card.

    my recommended ways are.

    start -> run -> type in "dxdiag" to open DirectX Diagnostic Tool -> then click on the "display" tab, and it should tells u the version of the video card.

    good luck!

    So, checking it is not an option. My question is, is there anything in the link I mentioned that can clarify if it is a GS or GTX?

    Thanks anyway.

    760 Kuwaiti Dinars, around 2500$. I'm getting ripped off, I know. But this is my only option, you see I can't buy online. It'll probably take a month to get through customs. Having second thoughts anyway, I don't 17" is for me. I might get myself a m1210.

    Yeah a little expensive, it only has 1GB DDR2 and @ 533Mhz not 667Mhz.. but oh well.. it has a good screen... Well it's still gonna kick ass.. the only thing i would do to it would be upgrade the ram.

    PS: You shouldn't be sad cuz it's not a 7900 GTX.. I have the 256MB version of the 7900GS on my new lappy, and I still haven't had to lower res or details to have playable framerates.. It still ownz :)

    Thanks Th3R1pp3r. One more thing though, this has the 512 version of the GS. So I'm guessing it will live up to it's name. 2GB of ram is a must for me.
