I just bought at Satellite M40-148 and it can't start if the power cable is plugget in. Not plugget in, it starts/runs fine, but if I try to turn it on with the powersupply hooked up, it just gives me a black screen, where nothing happens, only the fan spins up to maximum speed, and it just stays like that.

I can turn it on without the powersupply, and then plug it in, after it has started.

    Any solution to this?

Wow, sounds like a mechanical issue. I'd definitely get this repaired if you're under warranty.

Returned it already. In the store the guy tried to hook it up and test it, an typically it worked fine there!?!?!?! I chose to return it anyway. Luckily the store takes returns without any trouble.
