    Hello everyone.

I have searched the forum to find a thread that discusses how to downgrade the Qosmio X300 series from Vista to XP.

I did have a similar situation when I purchsed my Toshiba Satelite X205. The problem was that Windows XP did not provide the necessary drivers for the SATA controllers. I had to create a new build of XP and merge the necessary drivers so that my X205 would recognize the XP installation setup.

I would like to be able to do this again with the Qosmio X300 series. Has anybody here been able to downgrade to XP and could share what they did and where they found the necessary drivers to merge into their XP build? Much thanks in advance.

    Santiago.

Vista x64 is recommended for this lappy, due to the bandwidth specifications of the board, and in relation to WDM kernel, the vista kernel is optimized for such specific high bandwidth usage. Or so a friend tells me. You should try it and see, i commend you for striking out and bettering the community.
