I remember up too 2-3 years ago Toshiba was the prime maker of Laptops it had high quality and was very stylish they had great innovation great bang for the buck (expensive but worth every penny), and they had great combo of gpu's. But now I look at there lineup and it is weak, HP and Dell offer better quality at much more resonable prices, toshiba has gaming laptops but non that offer the 8800GTX they only offer the 8600Gt in SLI or 1 8700GT both ways have there disadvantages. Know lets talk about there buisness lineup I have seen what lenovo sells for $1000 go for $1 500 from Toshiba. And stile now that is different for eveyone but for me Toshiba has taken a huge huge down turn, take a look at the last generation with this generation. Anyway I like Toshiba back a few years ago better while the market has gotten better with the mac having the ability of using windows and the huge push of Gaming laptops, but I much liked it better back when Toshiba was up there. Although now Gateway is looking much better then usual.

Their HD DVD division is probably hurting them. They are throwing so much money that way.

I forgot to mention that but really if HD DVD went off big you would have not said that.

IMHO Toshiba started to tank after it discontinued its Satellite 5205 line in 2003. Newer Toshiba models don't have any compelling features or style that Toshiba's competitors don't already have.

I was thinking that they lost style and innovation much much after that last great product I think was the M60/70 i do not remember what it was called.
