I just purchased a Toshiba A105-s4074 from BestBuy for 749. It comes with one memory slot occuppied with 512Mb. It supports dual channel memory so I bout 2 1gig modules and put them in. The system shows that I now have two gig of memory. My question is: How can I tell if it is operating in dual channel mode? Thanks.

i think you have to check in BIOS for that. as far as i know, there is no program or website to show that you are using dual channel, but then again, i could be wrong

CPU-Z should be able to let you know whether the RAM is running in dual channel. Check under the Memory tab.

Thanks, I tried CPU-Z and if I read it correctly, I am in dual channel mode. Sweet. I forgot to mention in my initial post that as soon as brought the notebook home, I formatted the drive and loaded XP Pro. This notebook replaces and old Toshiba Centrino 1.6Ghz. Again, thanks for the replys.
