So I am now running XP on my Toshiba Satellite A215 instead of Vista.

Everything is fine and I have obtained most of the drivers I need, but I cannot get my WLAN working!

    It's an Atheros AR5008X built-in I suppose.

Anyway, I have downloaded and installed all the drivers I could find on Toshiba's pages but it still does not recognize the hardware.

    HELP PLEASE!

    Thank you.

I was pretty much able to go into the control panel/device manager, and do a google search on the device properties. My wlan card was one of the easiest to find in my case.

Is your wlan card showing up in device manager, and the drivers not working??? Or is the device not showing up at all?? I know of the x205, you have to install the KB888111 hotfix or the modem/soundcards aren't recognizable by XP (hd audio bus wasn't originally available when xp shipped), and I wonder if you could be having a similar issue???

Install Everest and check model of wlan card ..

I supposed that u have got good driver from Atheros site..

Turn on wlan card both fn keys and wireless switch before install ..
