My dvd drive went out in my L25 so I replaced it & it works fine. But I thought instead of just trashing the old, I'd try it in my A85-S107 & the bios recognized it & it worked until I rebooted, then it was gone? After several reboots the bios never did see it again. So I figured it"s shot??... But after getting bored one day I thought I'd put it back in the L25 to see what happens & it still works??.. So I take the new one that I had in the L25 & try it in the A85 but the bios won't see it either? I tried reflashing the bios with version 1.30 from Toshiba's site but it says the bios file is the same or newer than the one I'm trying to flash? SOOOO..... is there anyway I can reset the bios back to the original 1.0 & maybe go from there? By the way, I am able to hook an external DVD/R to the usb & it works & I can boot from it, but that's too awkward. Other than all this, the A85 works.

Now can you see this drive in Device Manager?

No, the dvd drive is not in device manager. Normally on boot, I could see it there? But it's not there & nowhere to be found?
Dvd drive is gone??
