    My girlfriend is having some real troubles with her laptop(toshiba satellite A100). I though I had fixed it but I guess not. Everytime she play's a DVD ( burnt or original) she hears the dvd audio but there is also this awkward sound. It is not just one DVD, I have tried many. The reason I don't understand the problem is because when she plays music or anything else besides a DVD it sounds perfectly fine. :rolleyes:

    Any suggestions? Thank you.

    What DVD playing software is she using? Try downloading the Klite Mega Codec Pack and playing DVD's through Media Player Classic.

    It could be her DVD codecs are messed.

    When installing select playback only, and make sure to put a Media Player Classic icon on the desktop so you can find it easily.

    I have tried all sorts of dvd players;
    PowerDVD
    Media Center
    Nero Showtime

    They all do the same thing. I will try the codecs and see what happens, thank you.
