Hi recently i won an auction for a Toshiba M60 on ebay for 1660 US dollars. Then shortly after, another guy emails me offering to sell me one for 700 US dollars. I looked this guy up and he has an impressive feedback. The only thing is...it isnt really through ebay. i thought it was a joke at first but then he offered to use a shipping service called E-Shipping-Electronics. Apparently what happens is he gives the computer to the company, i send the money and then the computer is sent to me. i have 5 days to decide if i like it or not and if i do, the money is then transferred to the seller. is there such a company?? do you think this is a fraud? i mean...700 bucks for an M60, cant beat that....the guys name is smithvetteman, look him up

I have never heard of anybody mentioning this type of company/service. I also do find it strange that he would wait until you've already won the auction to contact you with a WAY better deal (over 50% off) for the same unit. Why didn't he email you earlier or why not post it up on ebay and get more money? When not using a reputable service/company like Paypal, there's no guarantee that the guy just won't rip you off. Personally, I think it's fishy and would recommend you stay away. Also, you've won the auction and have an agreement with the seller, I don't know how cancelling the deal will look on you (user feedback). That's just my 2 cents though.

if this guy is legit...i would offer to pay the fees for the other seller and i would stil be getting a great deal. but youre right, why would he just give it away practically when he can make more than double although he does have a good feedback record. i guess i wont do it. thaks

That's not a problem! You can always go and buy if from this guy, but it's just not something I would personally do.

i jsut sold my A70 for 970 US ...i think thats pretty good because i bought for 1300 CAD (little over 1000 US i think). hello M60!!

Congratulations! Enjoy your new notebook. If there's no review done on the M60 yet and would like to do a review, send a note to Brian or ABaxter and tell them you're interested.

Someone with the nick barry530 also offered me a deal like yours. He offered less then half of the price the guy on ebay was offering. He also wanted to use this E-Shipping-Electronics company that I have never heard of. Was this the same guy that wanted to make a deal with you?
I also recieved an email from other person that wants to sell me the same notebook, but just a couple hundreds cheaper than the ebay guy. But this other person wants to use this company express-parceline. Have you ever heard of this company? Is this company ok to work with?
Thanks

well in my case i provided my name and address (for my work rather than where i live) to the guy who offered E shipping electronics and there has been nothing sent, or any calls or anything. its all a scam. who in their right mind would sell something for less than half of what it is worth? i dont care anymore...im not even going to consider those deals anymore. but im really happy with my m60 though. and i really recommend that you dont go through with it.

Thank you very much for the advice. I'll buy my notebook in a known site. It's much safer and I rather spend more money to get what I want, then risk myself and don't get my product at all.
Thanks a lot

I wouldn't pickup anything from someone that contacts you after you've claiming he has a better deal than the one you've just bought or are currently trying to buy. If their price was SO good, why not post it on eBay and sell it for more? I believe this is all a scam as going through eBay, you get some kind of protection and also everything is tracked. Going through an email is completely untrackable and you're taking your own risk.
Stay away from offers like this!
