Hi, i just got this laptop and really like it, but am having some problems.

My sister also has the same one and hers seems dead quiet, but on mine i can hear the HDD accessing stuff, is this normal? I dont get why one does it but the other doesnt.

Also, when i touch the fn button on hers, an overlay comes up, but nothing comes up on mine...i think geek squad did something, any ideas?

they provably uninstalled the flash cards as they are called the fn functions that come down from the up part of the screen, u can do 1 of 2 things download the flash cards from toshiba.com under drivers for your specific notebook or do a recovery this will make the notebook go back like it was out of the box. For the hard drive I would certainly make someone look at it before it dies because it is not normal for it to sound loader then another hard drive.
