    Hi all,

I just got a new Toshiba Satellite X205-SLi6 and everything is good with this laptop but the battery. I think a full charge only get's me about 30 minutes on it and that's just browsing internet with one open Firefox browser. I already set it on Power Saver mode.

I know this machine is powerful but is this normal battery life per charge?

I get just under 1 hour on my SLi4, on high performance. Power saver doesn't seem to do anything. Maybe you are slightly exaggerating the shortness of the battery life or for some reason your video driver is not underclocking the GPUs when you pull the power plug.

funny cause with my sli1 I was getting 45 min, give or take 1-2 min, before the 10% warning would sound running on just the battery and Playing Call of Duty 4 multiplayer on High performance.

Anyway I wanted to try and see how long the battery could last without playing a game, so instead I watched streamng video and at the same time chatted on myspace instant messenger while surfing the web, I got 1 hour and 20 min before the 10% warning sounded.

I got the extra juice by setting the battery to Power Saver, then lowering the brightness to the lowest setting and finally disabling sli through the nvidia control panel.

1 hour 20 felt like a pretty good sitting before I had to stand up and get the blood flowing through my legs, but I'd like to have the battery last at least 2 hours preferably 3.

So if anyone else got anymore ideas of what can be tweaked please post.

Oh to the op, try what I did (power saver, lower brightness, disable sli) and see if you get 1 hour 20 min from your sli6 and please respond. I'm dying to see what your results are.
