    Erorr when installed xp on toshiba a200-p532, with default OS vista home premium

    i have new notebook, toshiba sattelite a200 - p532,with default OS vista home premium, when i want to make multi os, (i want to add xp) it cant be happen, it stoped when first time you want to install xp
    (press enter to instal fresh xp, r for repair and f3 to quit => in blue screen, remember?),
    when i want to press enter, it give me some stress reply, it say that my hardisk not installed yet / please power mode on.
    when i want to installed linux, nothing like that happen, it finished well!
    WTF :mad: with my notebook?
    can anyone fix my problem? thanx a lot! :)

    1stly, it's not your laptop's fault, it's XP's.
    2ndly, recent Linux distros should automatically recognize SATA drives, therefore no problems. (See #3)

    3rdly, I think that what's happening is your hard drive isn't being recognized, likely due to it being a SATA drive. What you need to do is go to your motherboard manufacturer's website (use CPUZ and look under mainboard if you're unsure about manufacturer and/or model) and download the driver(s) which correspond to it. Then use nLite to create and slipstream those drivers into a new installation disc. Check out their site or just google around if you need help with the procedure of making a disc.

    use nlite to slipstream your windows installer cd + sata drivers
