Hi everyone! I just found this forum and I love it! I just purchased a Toshiba Satellite A205-S5812 Laptop and it has an Express Card slot. Is this the same as a Type II /PCMCIA card slot? Just wondering, as some one gave me a bluetooth mouse and it says it is to be used in a Type II PC card slot. I am new to a laptop so any help is very much appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Karen

No. ExpressCard is completely different from PCMCIA.

Nope, its a totally different slot, its the successor to the Type II PC Card.

I have heard that there are PC Card to Expresscard adaptors so you could still use that mouse.

i believe that mouse is the bluetooth mouse that stores and charges in the pcmcia card slot. the external pcmcia to express card adapters are gigantic, and certainly not worth it for using that mouse. i'd just go buy another bluetooth mouse.

Thanks everyone for all your help. I guess I will just forget about this mouse and get one that is compatible for my computer, since it is the rechargeable one like scottyinco said. I hope that manufacturers are making items that are compatible with the Express Card slot!
