I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 running on Win 7 Home edition. I purchased an AKE 54mm expresscard to 2 port usb 3.0 adapter. When I plug in the adapter I can see it in the device manager under Other with a yellow tag.
I have tried to install the NEC software, the FL100 drivers and the Renesas drivers but nothing works. I get blue screens, device cannot start (code 10) errors.

Any help with this would be appreciated as the onboard USB sockets are all broken.

I would contact the hardware vendor. Maybe they have seen this issue before. Also I think USB 3 is over rated. I am using Esata enclosures and spare HDDs and get faster than USB 3 speed consistently. I have a few USB 3 drives and they never seem to transfer the same speed twice.
